A simple, functional way to cook outdoors.

Made for backyard gatherings and adventurous outings, the HAY Outdoor Market by Jasper Morrison Shop collection combines functional design with the nostalgic utility of classic camping gear. Crafted from stainless steel, this classic BBQ is composed of two parts: a barbeque base and a removable grill. Take it on camping trips or use it in your backyard to grill everything from burgers and steaks to fish and corn on the cob. You can also cook kebabs with the collection’s BBQ Skewers (sold separately). For a complete cooking set, the collection also includes BBQ Forks and Tongs (sold separately). The BBQ measures 11.4h x 14.2"diam and weighs 7.3 lbs. Both the designer Jasper Morrison and the manufacturer HAY are represented in MoMA’s collection.

Instructions for use and safety precautions:

1. Build a pyramid of charcoal, maximum 1 lb. of charcoal, in the center of the barbecue base and insert a couple of lighter cubes (not included) within the pyramid.

2. Using a long match or lighter, light the lighter cubes which will then ignite the charcoal.

3. The charcoal is fully lit and ready to use when it is covered with a coating of white ash.

4. Place the grill on the barbecue.

5. Preheat the grill for approximately 10 to 15 min. It is recommended to heat up the barbecue and keep the charcoal a red hot color, for at least 30 minutes prior to cooking for the first time.

6. Make sure the grill is clean before placing any food on it.

7. The barbecue will become very hot, do not move it during operation.

8. This barbecue is designed for outdoor use in a well ventilated area only and should never be used as a heater. Do not use indoors!

9. WARNING! Do not use alcohol or gasoline for lighting or re-lighting!

10. Keep the cooking area clear of flammable vapour and liquids, such as gasoline, alcohol, etc., and combustible material.

11. Use heat-resistant barbecue mitts or gloves while cooking, adding charcoal and handling the grill.

12. Never dump ashes or charcoal before they are fully extinguished.

13. Do not store barbecue until ashes and charcoal are fully extinguished.

14. WARNING! Keep away from children and pets.

15. Do not leave unattended.

The product can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth when cooled down, follow up with thorough drying. Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners or alcohol to clean the surfaces of your barbecue.
