Mattel Creations and MoMA make art together with these Hot Wheels® replicas inspired by iconic vehicles in MoMA’s collection. Choose from the Citroen DS 23 and Volkswagen Type 1 Sedan, each sold separately. The die-cast cars are scaled 1:64 to the originals. Includes a display case.

Few family names rival Porsche in automotive design history. Founded by Ferdinand Porsche—designer of the legendary Volkswagen Beetle—the company transitioned to luxury sports cars after WWII when his son, Ferry, designed the sporty 356. In 1959, Ferdinand’s grandson, Butzi Porsche, continued the family legacy by designing the next evolution: the 911.

Unveiled in 1963, the 911 became Porsche’s most iconic, timeless vehicle. This low-slung, rear-engine coupé utilized racing engineering to deliver massive speed and rear-wheel traction, wrapped in a silhouette featuring signature round headlights and a dramatically tapered tail.

Dominating the track, the 911 became the most successful competition car ever made, offering a raw, sensory driving experience. It ultimately epitomized Germany’s postwar economic miracle, standing today as one of the twentieth century's greatest achievements in high-tech engineering and refined aesthetics.

The Volkswagen Type 1 Sedan was born in 1938 after German automakers were charged with designing an inexpensive car  as part of the government's larger aspirations to get as many Germans on the road as possible and drag the country into the auto age. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, The Type 1 Sedan lived up to its name by becoming the choice for millions of car owners around the globe. Better known today as the Beetle, the Type 1 surpassed Ford’s Model T as the best-selling automobile of all time in 1972. The Hot Wheels x MoMA model features rear-rider wheels and a rear hood that opens to showcase the car’s motor.
