For this watch by queer South Asian artist Jag Nagra, Nagra is inspired by phulkari, the folk embroidery of the Punjab. Techniques of phulkari were not documented, but shared through word of mouth so each regional group was identified by the style of embroidery. Although the word translates to “floral shapes,” designs can also include geometric patterns, as seen on this watch produced by Projects Watches. Nagra is passionate about ending the stigma around LGBTQ+ people, especially within the South Asian community. She focuses on concepts that depict a sense of confidence as she unapologetically celebrates South Asian garments and motifs. The Jag Nagra Phulkari Watch measures:
