This framed print features a reproduction of Museum Security (1983) by Jean-Michel Basquiat, an artist in MoMA’s collection. A native New Yorker, Jean-Michel Basquiat made graffiti under the tag "SAMO" as a teenager, and produced postcards and T-shirts before establishing his studio practice. Though his career lasted barely a decade, Basquiat continues to have lasting relevance as a bridge between graffiti and the gallery, and as an influence on subsequent generations of artists. This Basquiat poster is printed on heavy watercolor paper and framed in sustainably sourced black ash with a gallery acrylic finish.  It measures 24”sq. and is  wired for hanging.
