MoMA Exclusive: For this large, warm Muted Circles Wool Throw, designer Osamu Mita was inspired by his favorite motif, polka dots. The dots are woven in two different weaves, creating changes in the throw’s texture and the appearance of the pattern’s neutral colors, with various shades of purple added as an accent. Osamu Mita has work in MoMA’s collection and his designs were featured in the Museum’s 1998 exhibition Structure and Surface: Contemporary Japanese Textiles. The Mita Muted Circles Wool Throw is made from 100% wool in Kiryu, Japan and measures 44h x 74"w (large enough for two people to get cozy under). Dry clean only.
