MoMA Exclusive: Nina Chanel Abney is an American artist with work in MoMA’s collection best known for her graphic large-scale paintings with bold, colorful palettes that explore subjects as diverse as race, celebrity, religion, politics, sex, and art history through creating powerful narratives and symbolic scenes on canvas, buildings, and even basketball courts. This 1000-piece Nina Chanel Abney Jigsaw Puzzle artwork is commissioned by MoMA and is inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Girl before a Mirror (1932). This puzzle includes a unique easy-to-assemble nine-compartment sorting tray for organizing the puzzle pieces inside the box. Made from 95% recycled greyboard and printed with non-toxic ink. Assembled, the puzzle measures 30l x 20”w.
