The Pacha Swivel Lounge Chair was conceived in 1975 by legendary French furniture designer Pierre Paulin, who sought to create the sensation of “sitting on clouds.” Not only did he succeed in the comfort department with this ultra-soft chair, but the Pacha also resembles a cluster of clouds with its curvaceous, organic silhouette. The low-slung Pacha is easy to incorporate into your space and features a metal return-to-center swivel base—so you can rotate toward the TV, a side table bearing a cocktail or various party guests with ease. The streamlined shape of the base provides a nice juxtaposition to the chair’s organic curves. The Pacha Swivel Lounge Chair is upholstered in ivory boucle fabric (70% cotton, 8% polyester, 5% wool and 2% polyamide.) It measures 25.5h x 30.3w x 33.5"d. Pierre Paulin’s work is represented in MoMA’s collection.
