Paulin Zapata Modul Watch

Innovative and unique, this collaborative wristwatch is out of this world.

Founded in 2013 by three sisters, Glasgow-based Paulin makes high-quality, design-forward timepieces that nod to art and architecture. The Zapata Modul Watch was born out of a collaboration with Chicago artist and designer Crystal Zapata. “I thought about the seasons, the rotation of earth, and the stars and planets in the sky that have always served as ways for people to orient themselves in time and space,” she said about her inspiration. Choose from two options: Day and Night. Day has cloudy blue hour markers on a silver dial, while Night has white indices on a deep navy face. Both styles feature blurred numerals and a star-studded minute track with gloss lacquer over sunburst engraving. The caseback is engraved in-house with a constellation, adding to the celestial theme. A 35mm Modul case houses the Swiss-made quartz ETA F06 movement, which has a seven-year battery life. Comfortable to wear at just 8.2mm thick, the Paulin Zapata Modul Watch has a stainless steel mesh strap that measures 88 mm (excluding case and buckle).
