MoMA Exclusive: For fans of the Strøm homeware collection, this Danish design brings a similar color statement to your walls. The Raawii Duplum Mirror (”duplum” means “double” in Latin) is made in Portugal with a frame crafted from earthenware—and because each mirror passes through a number of hands during production, each frame is uniquely handcrafted. While the Duplum can be used for gazing at your own reflection, the mirror’s designer, Nicholai Wiig-Hansen, created it to also be used in other ways. “I imagine you might replace one of the paintings on your wall with this mirror, which would then depict a reflection of a detail from your home, inviting you to see your living space from a new perspective,” he explains. In this way, the Raawii Duplum Mirror frames still lifes or fragments of your interiors, depending on where you choose to hang it. It measures 2h x 19"diam. and has three holes on the back for hanging.
