The delightful illusion of real fruit, with a pleasing beeswax scent.

MoMA Exclusive: Wonderfully realistic, this Red Apple Candle tricks the eye with its striking resemblance to real fruit. The candle is hand-poured in small batches using 100% beeswax and a mold made from a real apple, which captures the fruit’s soft shape and texture. This beeswax candle is created by actual beekeepers on a women-led, family farm in Merced, California, in the heart of Central Valley. The farm ensures the well-being of their honey bees so that their species lives on long after we are gone. Designed to serve as both ambient lighting—providing a warm, soft glow—and decorative accents, these Apricot candles have an approximate burn time of six hours. The candles produce a pleasingly rich beeswax scent. Burning beeswax is also a good way to purify the air in your space, as it releases negative ions that clear toxins, dust and dander. Because the candles are handmade, slight differences in color and appearance may occur, making each one unique. Always place lit candles on a non-flammable surface. The Red Apple Candle measures 3h x 3"diam.

A Faux-Food Pop-Up

Designed to trick the eye, these fun, functional designs playfully imitate food. Shop home decor, accessories, designs for gatherings and more. MoMA has a history of acquiring faux-food artworks for the Museum’s collection. Claes Oldenburg's obsession with sculpting fake food knew no bounds and included his Two Cheeseburgers, with Everything (Dual Hamburgers) (1962) and Pastry Case, I (1961–62). His famous installation The Store (1961), where oversized replicas of food items were displayed in a mock corner store, is represented in MoMA’s collection with a poster advertising a gallery show. Artists like the Cubists and Ed Ruscha have also used food as themes in their work.
