The FL/Y Pendant Light provides soft, ambient light and a touch of glamour for your entryway, hallway or above a nook or table. Made in Italy of brightly colored or clear methacrylate by the ingenious plastics manufacturer Kartell, the FL/Y Pendant Light calls to mind a transparent balloon as the sun shines through it: cheerful, luminous, and a little bit iridescent.

The partial dome shape was designed by Ferruccio Laviani, who extended the line of the dome beyond a perfect half-hemisphere to ensure that light from the bulb would be reflected within the lamp’s surface. The FL/Y Pendant Light is available in Red or Crystal. Kartell is represented in MoMA’s collection.
