Celebrate Snoopy’s 75th birthday with an everyday tote that says it all.

While Snoopy is certainly cherished by kids, adults have equally appreciated the beloved beagle known for his minimal form and imaginative personality. Created and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, the iconic black-and-white dog and his Peanuts gang mark 75 years in 2025. This heavy-duty Snoopy Cotton Canvas Tote Bag is available in two fun screenprinted designs—Snoopy as a vinyl connoisseur with MUSIC IS LIFE on back and Snoopy resting atop a rainbow with GOOD VIBES ONLY on the other side. Use it to carry around everything from your daily essentials to actual records. The Snoopy Cotton Canvas Tote Bag measures 15.57h x 16.5”w with a 3.9” gusset. MoMA has a history of collecting toys and games, as seen in the exhibition Century of the Child, Growing by Design, 1900–2000 (2012), which emphasized engaging designs for children.

Snoopy by Charles Schulz
Snoopy by Charles Schulz

Created in 1950 by Charles M. Schulz, Snoopy is an illustrated, anthropomorphic beagle featured in Schulz’s Peanuts comic strips and animated cartoons. The original drawings of Snoopy were inspired by Spike, one of Schulz’s childhood dogs. Over the decade, Snoopy has taken on an iconic status as much for his minimal, immediately recognizable form as for his imaginative (and at times insouciant) personality. Snoopy’s profile even inspired the designers, brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who have work in MoMA’s collection, when they named their 1967 redesign of a classic bankers lamp, “the Snoopy Lamp.” Like his Peanuts costar Charlie Brown and Dick Bruna’s beloved bunny Miffy, Snoopy is a personality we’re drawn to because he appeals equally to children and adults.
