Known for his postmodern and Memphis-style designs, Canetti founded his design consulting firm in NYC in 1980. During the 1980s and '90s, he played a pivotal role in bringing postmodern design into people's homes. In 1994, he conceived the first magnetic picture frame—a “frameless frame” that does not detract from the photos or objects being displayed. Besides being a designer, Canetti is an accomplished photographer, publishing over 15 books of his work.
