With a transparent blue bio-sourced case and bio-sourced glass, your new favorite timepiece features a reproduction of Matisse's The Snail (1953). Designed down to the last detail, even the transparent strap has a print of the artwork as well as the artist's signature, while the loops are printed with the Tate Gallery logo.

Why We Chose This
"I first of all drew the snail from nature, holding it. I became aware of an unrolling, I found an image in my mind purified of the shell, then I took the scissors," Henri Matisse said of his 1953 gouache découpée The Snail. An artist with work in MoMA's collection, Matisse began his collage works after 1948 when ill health prevented him from painting. The shapes were cut-and-pasted by an assistant under the artist's direction.
