Originally designed in 1934 and updated in 1950, Jean Prouvé’s Standard SP Chair is engineered to take stress on its ASA plastic seat back and back legs, and bears the weight of the sitter’s upper body on its tubular steel front legs. The Standard SP Chair is suitable for use as a dining, desk or living room chair and measures 32.25h x 15.75w x 17.75”d. Comes fully assembled. Both Jean Prouvé and the chair’s manufacturer, Vitra, are represented in MoMA’s collection. An earlier version of this chair is a design in MoMA's collection.
