MoMA Exclusive: Made from eco-friendly bamboo, this set of four b* Fiber Plates are inspired by the Japanese lifestyle of those who live in “satyoma,” rural areas between mountain foothills and arable flat land. Residents of these areas respect nature by taking only what they need and using things carefully without waste. Modern Japanese culture and aesthetics are based on the satoyama perspective on nature—living with simplicity and beauty.
Bamboo powder is used for the production of these plates because it is a fast-growing plant, making it a sustainable material. It’s combined with resin for durability. The design of these reusable, stackable and lightweight plates evoke classic paper plates and are ideal for outdoor entertaining, from picnics to barbeques. Each b* Fiber Plate in this set of four is in a different color: black, gray, off-white and pink. They each measure 9.8”diam. and are dishwasher-safe. Not safe for microwaves.
b* Fiber designs are also available in sets of four Bowls or Cups.
