Ever since the last Polaroid factory shut down in 2008, The Impossible Project has been on a mission to redesign instant photography for a digital generation. Starting by salvaging and refurbishing existing equipment, the company soon started creating its own innovations. The highly anticipated l-1 camera is its first camera, and the first new camera system in over twenty years that uses the original Polaroid® format. It gives instant photographers new levels of manual control through the companion I-1 App, which allows for complete photographic control of aperture and shutter speed and lets you try out creative techniques like light painting and double exposure. It has a ring flash that provides soft, diffused light, and an autofocus system that makes it perfect for portraits. The unique ring flash is comprised of eight LED's and functions as a film count indicator - alerting users how many photos are left on their Impossible Project film (sold separately). Once the perfect image is captured, consumers can then use the app to scan and upload it directly to their social channels.
Impossible Project's accompanying black and white and color films have been continuously improved upon since they were first formulated in 2008. The latest films develop 30% faster than previous generations and a more neutral emulsion layer allows the picture to display a more accurate preview while it's still developing. Eight instant photos per pack.
