With hues from the Danish brand HAY’s spring palette, this translucent Flare Candle Holder has been crafted out of colored, mouth-blown borosilicate glass and accented with contrast-color rims that catch the eye. Its raised cup is shaped to hold most standard candles and its bowl-like lower tray catches melted wax and provides easy handling when moving the holder around your home. Candles sold separately here. HAY is a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection.

HAY Flare Glass Candle Holder

  • HAY

HAY, founded in 2002 in Denmark by husband-and-wife team Mette and Rolf Hay, was born with the idea of offering thoughtful, functional, beautiful and high-quality designs at accessible prices. HAY is represented as a manufacturer in MoMA’s collection with several objects, such as the Prince Chair, a 2002 design by Louise Campbell. Devised for a competition to create a chair for the Crown Prince of Denmark, its seat resembles an unfolded paper cutout. Another design in the collection, Stefan Diez’s 2013 Rope Trick Lamp, is inspired by power transfer coils common to CNC hardware.
